Umbraco development
in Dubai.

A CMS should make your next move easier. As a .NET and Umbraco agency in Dubai, we help UAE businesses turn complex requirements into websites that feel straightforward for customers and the people who look after them.

Built around the way you work.

Bespoke Umbraco website development — Start with your customer journeys, then build the content structure and reusable components around them. Give editors room to create new pages while keeping the experience consistent with your brand.

Arabic, English and international audiences — Plan translation ownership, language switching, regional content and right-to-left layouts together. Test real content in each language so the design works beyond the original page mockup.

.NET development and systems integration — Connect your Umbraco website with CRM, ERP, booking or ecommerce services. Map the data flow, validate incoming information and agree how failures are surfaced and resolved.

Search, accessibility and performance — Build clear URLs, metadata controls, accessible components and image handling into the project. Test important journeys on everyday devices and connections before launch.

A clear sequence.

Agree your audiences, commercial goals and integration requirements.

  2. 02

Prototype key journeys and validate the publishing experience.

  3. 03

Questions we hear

Your Umbraco Gold
Partner in Dubai.

The right Umbraco partner brings more than a platform recommendation. Cold Banana works with organisations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, with a connected UK team to help you plan, deliver and keep improving your digital platform.

A partnership that goes beyond launch.

Recognised Umbraco expertise — Cold Banana is an Umbraco Gold Partner. Our work spans new platforms, integrations and ongoing support, with published projects across the Middle East and the UK.

A clear brief before a build — Bring your marketing, operations and technology teams into the conversation early. We help turn their needs into a shared scope, with visible decisions about content, integrations and delivery.

A team you can work with — Agree responsibilities, review points and how decisions will be made. Whether we work alongside your internal developers or lead the build, the project should have clear ownership.

Questions we hear

Umbraco support
for Dubai businesses.

Your website needs to keep pace with your business. We help teams look after existing Umbraco platforms, resolve the issues that hold them back and plan the next useful improvement.

Keep the everyday working.

A considered agency handover — Review source code, hosting, deployment access and integrations before taking responsibility. Capture outstanding problems and the information your team needs to run the platform confidently.

Maintenance with a clear priority — Assess updates, bugs and dependencies against their effect on your business. Agree response arrangements, scheduled maintenance and a release process as part of your support plan.

Connected systems that stay connected — Investigate lead journeys, booking flows and the movement of business data. Use monitoring and clear diagnostics to make integration problems easier to identify.

Improvement alongside support — Turn recurring requests into a manageable roadmap. That might mean a better landing page builder, faster content journeys or a more useful reporting setup.

A clear sequence.

  1. 01

    Review

Audit the platform and collect the handover information.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

Separate urgent issues from planned improvements.

  3. 03

    Stabilise

Resolve the first priorities and establish a release process.

  4. 04

    Evolve

Review progress and agree the next work together.

Questions we hear

Move your Umbraco
platform forward.

An older CMS can make every change harder. We help Dubai and UAE organisations plan a move to a maintainable Umbraco platform, with a clear view of the content and integrations that need to come with it.

A move with a plan behind it.

Understand the starting point — Review the current Umbraco version, custom code, packages and hosting. Establish which parts can be retained and which need rebuilding before choosing a target release.

Give content a clear destination — Inventory pages, media, languages and structured data. Map them to the new content model, run trial migrations and let editors check real examples before cutover.

Plan for search continuity — Create a redirect map, review canonical URLs and metadata, and check key landing pages. Monitor the change after launch; a migration should include a plan for search as well as content.

Rehearse the release — Test integrations, forms and critical customer journeys in a separate environment. Agree content freeze, backups, responsibilities and rollback criteria before the release window.

A clear sequence.

  1. 01

    Audit

Review code, content, packages and dependencies.

  2. 02

    Map

Agree the target platform and migration approach.

  3. 03

    Rehearse

Trial the move and test the journeys that matter.

  4. 04

    Release

Coordinate cutover and monitor the new platform.

Where each version stands.

Dates follow Umbraco’s published standard support schedule, reviewed on 21 September 2026. End of life does not switch a site off.

That's when standard support ends. The current status is security fixes only.

A LONGER PLANNING WINDOW

Paid extended support (XLTS) is a separate agreement. It is not included in this schedule and it is not part of a Cold Banana support arrangement unless we agree it with you.

There is more than one route.

The route depends on the version you are on, the custom code, and the add-ons. These examples are starting points.

EARLIER LTS RELEASE

Umbraco 10 to 17

  1. v10
  2. v13
  3. v17 LTS

Use v13 as the LTS checkpoint, then continue to v17. Resolve the changes at each stage on a test copy before planning the live release.

Custom .NET code, packages and content editors.

NEWER BACKOFFICE

Umbraco 14, 15 or 16 to 17

  1. v14 / v15 / v16
  2. v17 LTS

These versions already use the newer backoffice. Check every intervening release’s breaking changes, update compatible packages and rehearse the database migration.

Rich text, custom extensions and integrations.

REBUILD & CONTENT MIGRATION

Umbraco 7 or 8 to 17

  1. v7 / v8
  2. New v17 build

One practical route is a new v17 implementation with a planned content migration. Rebuild templates and custom functionality, then map pages, media and redirects into the new site.

Content mapping, functionality and search continuity.

Cloud, Engage
and Workflow.

Choose the product for the job, then confirm the licence and the implementation with us.

Umbraco Cloud.
Room to grow.

Give your content platform a managed home. We help you assess Umbraco Cloud, shape the implementation and plan how your teams will work across development and live environments.

Less infrastructure to coordinate.

What is Umbraco Cloud? — Umbraco Cloud is a managed platform for running Umbraco CMS on Microsoft Azure, with tools for deployment, content synchronisation and project management.

Plan the right environment — Review hosting regions, traffic, integrations and recovery needs with your team before choosing a plan. Include the applications connected to the CMS in that discussion.

Make releases repeatable — Agree how developers test changes and how editors prepare content. Set out the release steps and responsibilities so the team knows what moves between environments.

A clear sequence.

  1. 01

    Assess

Review your platform and hosting requirements.

  2. 02

    Configure

Set up the agreed project and environment approach.

  3. 03

    Build or migrate

Develop the website or move a suitable existing project.

  4. 04

    Operate

Train the team and agree ongoing application support.

Questions we hear

Umbraco Engage.
Make each visit count.

Better experiences begin with useful questions. We help you explore where Umbraco Engage could improve your customer journeys, then shape a measurable plan around your audiences and goals.

Learn from the journeys that matter.

What is Umbraco Engage? — Umbraco Engage brings analytics, visitor profiling, personalisation and A/B testing into the Umbraco backoffice. Capabilities depend on the selected plan.

Start with a specific decision — Choose an enquiry journey, campaign or important content page. Agree the question, the audience and the measure of success before creating variants or rules.

Build a practical testing programme — Plan data collection, audience rules and reporting alongside your content. Review traffic levels, consent requirements and the time needed to learn before scheduling tests.

A clear sequence.

  1. 01

    Define

Pick a customer journey and a measurable question.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Review the licence, tracking and content requirements.

  3. 03

    Test

Build variations and agree how results will be assessed.

  4. 04

    Improve

Use the findings to guide the next content decision.

Questions we hear

Umbraco Workflow.
Clarity before publish.

Content approvals should be clear to everyone involved. We help you design Umbraco workflows around the people who create, review and publish your content.

The right people. The right review.

What is Umbraco Workflow? — Umbraco Workflow adds structured, multi-stage content approvals to the CMS, with review ownership, tasks and notifications in the backoffice.

Map the real approval process — Define who reviews each type of content, how translated pages are handled and who covers an absent approver. Keep the process proportionate to the content being published.

Give editors a workable process — Configure and test everyday scenarios with the team. Include a rejected change, a revised draft and a time-sensitive update so the process is understood before rollout.

A clear sequence.

  1. 01

    Map

Identify content owners and approval responsibilities.

  2. 02

    Configure

Set up the agreed groups and review stages.

  3. 03

    Rehearse

Test approvals with representative content and editors.

  4. 04

    Adopt

Train the team and review where work gets held up.
